Cheesecake

I thought, baking cheesecake is difficult but I was proven wrong. After reading some recipe books and baking websites, I simplified it a bit and voila, a yummy and easy cheesecake.

Here is what you need...

15 graham crackers, crushed
2 tablespoons butter, melted
8 ounce packages cream cheese (I used philedelphia cream cheese)
1 cups white sugar (I used the powdered sugar)
3/4 cup milk
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
3 tbsp all-purpose flour

Then....

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9 inch springform pan. In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Press onto bottom of springform pan. In a mixer, beat cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Blend in milk, and then mix in the eggs one at a time, Mix in sour cream, vanilla and flour until smooth. Pour filling into prepared crust. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Turn the oven off, and let cake cool in oven with the door closed for 5 to 6 hours; this prevents cracking. Chill in refrigerator until serving. Topped with strawberry/blueberry preserve if you want.

Yes!!! My long wait is over. I got my first DSLR camera courtesy of my ever sweet loving husband (naks). He bought me a Nikon D60 last monday. I'm making my self familiar with my new toy and it's fun playing with it,like with this cap lense, I used a bond paper as background, move a bit, find a good angle and voila, it's like a floating cap lense, hehehe. This is really really fun. I'm loving my new camera. Labs thank you for this :)

Okay..I know..I know I said I will stay away from buying stuffs in order to save for my DSLR dream but this evening after work, I found myself inside freeway and bought 4 tops. Bummer!!! Well...I could always start tommorrow. Tee-hee

Wanting to have

I wanted to upgrade my digicam to a DSLR. I'm gunning for a Nikon D40x, a bit pricey thought. That's why I am staying away from my shopaholic being. I'm also eyeing this Canon Powershot S5 IS, a semi pro camera and way cheaper than a DSLR. Now which is which..?I still want to have the D40x but if patience don't cooperate with me, I might have the S5 camera in a month. :)

Many are into blogging and many are into money making through blog advertising. The idea of it is too tempting that's why I joined the band wagon. It's been months that I've been doing this craze while earning few bucks too.

Will power

It's a tiring day for me not because of work but because of the traffic. It rain really hard today which made some street flooded and resulted to traffic. So I decided to go malling after work while waiting for hubz. I spotted a really good shirt and cutie flip flops. I was about to get my wallet to see if my plastic swipe is with me, then I suddenly remembered...I got to save, yeah I got to too. I’m gunning a semi-pro camera; it's not the dslr kind (I can't yet buy that type, too expensive). I'm keeping my fingers cross that I can resist the shopaholic spirit in me. :)

Anyway, our 5th year wedding will be coming this 24th of this month. Hmmm....we plan to go swimming. Guess it will be the last for summer '08 since its rainy season is starting. Oh well, rain or shine, I'm sure I'll have fun. Who wouldn't if you just learned swimming and conquer your fear right?
