WW: At the end of the Day

On Health

One day at work when I was at the pantry and filling my glass with lemonade an officemate asked me if that brand I am taking is safe. Of course I said. read the label hahaha!

People went nuts with the news about the imported milk containing melamine. I really can't blame them, I do too am careful in picking the food products I bought at the supermarket. It would be of great help to read the label first to know where it came from and the expiry date. In my case, I also read the calories I get from that product, I am a calorie freak hahaha!!!!

Without that foreign country exporting their products, our local milk producers will have more opportunities though I must admit, some of the well know products' prices are way expensive compared with other imported brands!

Okay I am kinda sleepy now, I'll hit the sack!

Everyone stay healthy and don't forget to drink your malamine free milk from a good label :)

A cool game!

As a kid, there were a lots of memories to rekindle. There were times were the siblings and I just have fun and play all day. One of our favorite things we do was playing bingo in our backyard. It was a sure fun game and it was our simple way of bonding because our parents and other relatives join too.

One day, I really don’t know what hits me; I just decided to googled bingo and found out that Disney has recently release ScreenLife Game Disney Bingo DVD game. This Disney Bingo DVD Game offers an edgy twist on our old favorite Bingo games. Disney DVD Bingo allows kids be familiarized with numbers, colors, and matching skills with their favorite Disney characters and movie clips. Match the numbers on the board to the ones given by the on-screen caller.

This game seems to be fun. You can play with your kids too. It’s a nice and cool way of bonding with relatives and friends as well. I have a five year old nephew and he loves playing games when I showed this to him online, he hurriedly asked her mom to get this game which can be bought from and Do check it out I am sure it will be selling like pancakes!

So what are you waiting for?

An old flame

I wanted to continue this old hobby! It's been ages since I last used a pencil to create strokes on paper. The brave boy inspires me. He loves to do drawing and with his high spirit and great talent I envy, I began to rediscover this little talent I have.

Off to the drawing table. See yah!

Yummy Seafood

When I was a kid, the family owned a small restaurant business. That’s why at an early age I learn the art of cooking. I learn how to prepare simple dishes that wins the heart of my parent and siblings. Up to now, cooking is still a great part of my life. This is my simple way of making my husband happy. You see, he loves to eat and his favorite is seafoods especially shrimp. He loves it when I grilled them and drizzle some olive oil. Simple as that!

We all knew seafoods are healthy to eat specially when they are fresh. It’s a good source of protein and low in saturated fat. It’s also a good source of omega-3 fatty acids thus reducing the cause of heart disease. That is why, seafoods are always present on our dining table during weekends.

Just as of earlier, I stumbled into this Great American Seafood cook off website where chefs from all over the US showcase their creativity in preparing unique and great tasting seafood recipe. I was asked to vote for a recipe in that site.

I voted for the Shrimp and Andouille Cassoulet by Chef Brian Landry from Louisiana . Thanks to his creative taste, I can prepare something new for my husband. The recipe is given in the site. I will definitely try this new one. It looks well and it seems easy to prepare. I can hardly wait to prepare this easy and yummy shrimp dish. I am so sure the husband will love this.

You want to know more recipe, do visit the site. I am sure you'll find an interesting recipe that will make you drool!

iLasik - A New technology

Am having problem with my eyes these pass few months. My vision is becoming blurred. I wanted to see an eye doctor but the idea of wearing eyeglasses just doesn’t make me comfortable. Then I found out that there is a solution to this problem.

I’ve heard about Lasik technology, so armed with my laptop I browsed information about it. On searching the net, I came across this LASIK technology. Reading more about their site made me interested on what they offer.

Based on what I read, NASA and the U.S military benefits from the LASIK technology. They have been actually using this technology to improve the eyesight of their top-personnel that encounters extreme, physically demanding conditions. Thus it makes their employees efficient at their work.

How iLasik technology does really works, based on my research, LASIK technology, and uses two lasers, as compared with the earlier version that uses only one. It is proven to be much more resultant and safer since the handheld microkeratome blade is replaced with the laser. The risk had been cut since the laser is much accurate. So therefore, the procedure is safer, painless and effective. Now if you too wanted to know more about this technology check out their site for more LASIK information. Post?slot_id=

The boy and the cookie

The brave young boy had his operation this morning. His mom texted me these words :

Im here with him at the recovery room. He looks ok. He smiled at me and kissed my hands when he saw me then he sleep again....

Thank you to all who prayed for him. We are positive that everything will be okay after all these and claiming that the tumor is not malignant. We believed in God's divine healing. :)

The husband and I will visit him tomorrow. I baked this chocolate chunky cookies and will bring his tomorrow for him.

Hope he will love it. :)

Once again, I thank all my friends who helped the family through prayers. :)

Hey kid how are you?

A couple of months ago your granny told us, your kinda sick! So your mommy and daddy send you to the hospital for some check-up. Your tito and I was a bit worried.

Now, after a couple of weeks or days...the result was revealed. It was a not so good news for the family.

Hey kid, you made your mom & granny cried and I, I got too emotional about it! Tito is still worried and your daddy never stops praying.

Tomorrow, you'll be admitted to the hospital, in two days, they'll get that thing in your head!

I wont stop praying, the family wont!

You take care kid and see you at the hospital this friday!

Manic Monday

So weekend is over its a Monday midnight and in a few hours I'll be off to work. Argh!!!!

I really hate Mondays or should I say, I hate going to work hahaha, my bad!

Work is becoming boring. Now that two of my friends already resigned, it made it more & more boring. What is worse, I am left alone in the designing team, I have to work double time for the meantime since they have not hired a replacement yet (do they have plans???). I wish I could just stay home and do other things such as bake goodies or do other side jobs. Oh well I have to be positive! I should be.

I am always thinking of these reasons whenever skipping work is becoming an option during Monday morning.....

1. I cannot afford to skip work on Mondays because it will make me more indolent for the rest of the week...hahahaha

2. the 15th and 30th is payday! nuninuninu!

3. days are fast coming, I'll never notice it's Friday already. yebah!

4. After work, hubz and I meet at this coffe shop near our office and we head home together. :)

5. Since we do not eat breakfast together during work days, Saturday & Sunday Breakfast are special to us!

6. Saturdays & Sundays are bonding moments for us!

These are enough reasons for me to get up from bed and hit the shower!

Despte of hating my work, I am learning to like it though hahaha!

So are you giddy for work this week! :)

September.... Few months more and yeah It's Christmas! So to start the excitement, I am doing this tag from pretty wifey Jannesse. Thank you sis.

Here's what you gotta do:

It's so simple.

Copy the photo below then write your blog and your wish this Christmas 2008. Your wish has to be something PRICELESS and SELF- LESS... something that money can't buy... something that another person will treasure dearly.

1. Bits and Pieces by Jan :: I wish Gino and I will be able to convince friends to help us sponsor a simple Christmas party for the children of White Cross Children's Home in San Juan.

2. The Wifey Diaries by Jannesse : My birthday falls on the 22nd of December. I have always wished to spend it with orphaned or abandoned kids. I'd be super happy to spend my birthday with them. That way, they get early Christmas presents from me. Oh, and can I wish for a baby, too? Please?

3 Startin' A New Life Too : Well...I just yearned to visit an elderly house and sponsor a Christmas party for the them. You see, it always breaks my heart when I see elder people who are homeless, who are sick or those that are less fortunate. I know, the simple Christmas party will somehow make them happy and think that they are loved.

Then I wish for a baby for my husband to be more happy....hehehe :)

Now lets see what Sheng, Odette, Bem's wish this Christmas 2008

So shall I sing..we wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New year!!!!Yebah!
