Fumble...Fumble...

Awww...My left foot hurts. I fell off from bed the time I step my left foot and stand up. Then I lose control of myself. Wrenching motions happen in my left foot. A twisting that made me fell on the floor.

ouch..ouch...are the only words I can say. Good thing hubby was still home. He didn't go to work today. I told him to skipped work to make sure he will be ok na.

Anyway, upon hearing the loud fall, he helped me to get up from the floor. I was laughing while his holding me. I really can't explain why it happened. He said, "your consciousness is still sleeping pa." Maybe It was that time. I was in bed dreaming of something, which I can't hardly remember na, then the clock strikes 6am, my cellphone alarm began to play my waking up tone. It was so loud very loud, which doesn't fail to wake me. I hurriedly stand up step my left foot and then blag!!! I was on the floor na. Then hubby asked what happen and the place was filled with my loud laugh. Funny namn di ba? The only thing is, it still hurt up to this moment though I can still finely walk naman.

Hmmm...since hubby is in great shape now, he has to take care of me naman this weekend. Yebah!

Happy weekend to all!

The Caring Potion

A worrywart I was a while ago, hubby is kinda sick. His temperature is a bit higher than the normal. I already gave him some medicine. Now he is sleeping. I do check his temperature from time to time to know, if it's becoming normal. Another wifey experience here.

You see, hubby doesn't get sick since we got married. It's always I that get sick and lay in bed for days. It's always I who is weak, who faints, who needs a capsule of more loving when sick. It's always him, who took care of me when Im not in good health. He's my hubby doctor. Now, it's his turn. I'll do the nursing this time. I'm not well verse in taking care of sick people but I have my loving hands to hold him and my caring lip to tell him to get well soon. Hopefully with these and some blanket and medicine, he'll soon be kicking again.

Iba ito...

We're on our 2nd year and we decided to change the usual "romantic" scenario date. So Dj and I went at Metro Market Market wearing sneakers, shirts and jeans. Carefree and happy, that's what we are that day. No meetings, no deadlines to attend too. Only us to celebrate.

We eat a lot, oh boy, I was so so full. I had a big serving of grilled chicken and buddy's pansit habhab that comes along with spicy vinegar. I asked what the vinegar is for, it's good to eat the pancit daw with vinegar. I haven't tried it kasi the pancit itself is good na. So, I didn't bother putting the vinegar, maybe next time, I'll try that. We even bought a pack of pansit habhab for take out, as pasalubong to my sister and pamangkin. Then, Dj saw this flower shop and asked me if I want roses. I told him, wag na lang. Bili mo na lang ako ng 256MB or 512MB flash drive, he he he.

So after finishing the grilled chicken and the pansit habhab, we went looking for a flash drive. There were so many selections but the design are not what I wanted. simple & a handy one is what i had in mind, which I can use at work and at home. Other designs are colorful kasi though handy. Anyway, we stopped by at an appliance store and found a simple Flash Drive. Then I saw this I-pod that I wanted to have. Hmmm...lemme think, an I-pod or a flash drive. Oh well, since it was the Flash drive that were looking for in the first place, so we bought it. The I-pod, hmmm. Pag balik ko I'll buy you.

We decided to went home at 9:00pm and guess what, It rain again, like what happened 2 years ago on that very same date. Rain falling on our head while we run towards the car. The rain was once a witness on how we sealed our love, now, he was again a witness on how we build a strong pillar in our relationship.

On memory Lane 2 years Ago

Im counting the days, 3 more days and we're on our 2nd year anniversary. Time really flies so fast. Before I was just a simple lady, dreaming of a garden wedding, a good husband where I will make a happy family. All things are falling in the right place.

My first entry in this blog last June was my wedding story. I know some of you haven't seen this, so Im reposting this again to share with you guys.

Its was the 24th of May, my wedding was at around 4:30pm at United Agape Bible Church at Paranaque City. It was my long dream to have such kind of wedding, a Garden Wedding. So I was very thankful that, that day is happening. The only thing was, it was raining. God...Please stop the drizzle,a little prayer that I was saying to HIM. The rain did stopped at around 11:00am. I was posing for my pictorial at my room while I was wearing my simple yet awesome wedding gown. I didn't choose any hotel for my wedding preparation because, my parents do wanted me to spend my remaining singlehood in my own room. By the way, I was living at Diliman, Q.C, and my wedding was at Paranaque. Why did we choose Paranaque as our wedding venue. Simply because, UABF is where we go to church together aside from that, it's a nice and beautiful place and the residing Pastor is Dante's Brother-in-law. So at around 3:00pm.Off we go to the church.... Again it rain hard...harder than the rain in the morning. I really wanted to cry but I've learned from fellow wawies that whatever glitches happen during the wedding, don't let it ruin your special day and that's what I did. I smile and didn't mind it. It wasn't traffic going to paranaque. Hmmm....I guess its God's wedding gift for us. It is usually traffic when we travel the south.

At 4:15pm, Im at the church. wow, the church was even prettier than I think...I saw my groom, my handsome groom. Many people are waving inside my bridal car. Looking at me and smiling. I smile back but the car windows are tinted so they can't see me at all.

The time has come...and this is it. My father opened the car door and held my hand. I gave him a hug and I felt that my tears are bit-by-bit falling. I slowly walked down the aisle with my parents and at the other end is my groom. YES...Were getting married. Dj took my fathers hand and made mano to him , likewise to my mom. We then headed infront and the ceremony started. The ceremony was a little bit long...It was a Christian wedding. And most Christian weddings have long ceremony. But it was a solemn ceremony just what I wanted. Then Pastor A. Said, "You may kiss your new bride." Ha ha ha, natawa ko dito. I asked Dj "why new, meron ka bang luma." He just smiled "ikaw lang po!" Then we both kiss that sealed our union and a tight hug that is more meaningful. Anyway, the ceremony finished at around 7:00pm. By the way we started late, the other pastor (which is my uncle) who will be giving the word of God was late. And we have to wait for him. Oh well, at least he came :)

At the reception, this was the part, which is very memorable for me. At the mid part of the reception, where everyone was eating a sumptuous dinner, it rained :( So we didn't have a bouquet toss or the garter toss. I was a little upset but still the very famous word "don't let glitches drift you", so I didn't...I still smile, smile, and smile. After the reception everyone was saying that its a blessing for me and Dante, and that they had a great time. The party ended at around 10:30pm. After the wedding, the very next day, we went to Baguio for our 4-day vacation...and the rest was history.

After 2 years, the marriage is more fruitful and more exciting. I still don't know what tomorrow is for us but there's one thing I and Dj is sure of, we will be happy together forever.

A not so secret in Life

Life...Though full of trials is still beautiful, is still great. With those trials that each of us encounter make us a better person. Sometimes, we get hurt and shed tears. But will all those hurting and tears, we become stronger. Sometimes, we fall in love but failed to make the relation flourish. With those failures, we learned what real love is all about.

There are lots of things that we should be thankful of, not only with the good things that is happening in our everyday lives but also in all aspects. Failures do come but by looking at the brighter side, we can see hope and deliverance. We should be thankful of that.

I know as human beings, it's hard for us to be happy when were sad, or be good when annoyed. It's ok for us to frown, to cry, and to be sad. Were just human. But again if all this happened don't ever forget to look and see the ray of light and you'll see, you'll be fine.

Tales of A great mother...

Tribute to moms... the week topic at Wifespeaks. I have copied paste my entry there and wanted to have the same entry word for word. For a reason that each word comes from my heart. While I was typing this at WS, my heart was burning with love and affection which I sometime forgot to show to this wonderful lady that brought me to this world. My nanay.

Just read on...

I call her nanay. She's in her early 60s right now. But I find her looking young. Maybe because she loves to smile, to laugh and to be happy at all times. She has few white strands of hair on her head, showing that it's not easy to raise us three. My nanay, my ever dear nanay, the woman that taught me how to live life and makes the most of it. The only person who was there when I was hurting as a teenager. The person that I first told that I'm not a kid anymore, the one who taught me how to act like a lady though she knows Im more of the boyish side during those times.

I admire her beautiful eyes and her winsome smile. No wonder my father left her girlfriend before just to be with my mother. And oh, father said that It's her cooking that hits him. I could hardly agree to that too. Nanay is a great cook indeed. She taught me how to move in the kitchen. Basically, she's my one great mentor in cooking.

When I was single, I am hard headed sometimes but she never gets tired of advising me how to handle life. I may be mean and wild but her patience was her instrument to tame me. The pessimistic that I was before, was transfigured to a well-minded being. And I thank my nanay for doing all those great things to me.

Now that Im married, she's not only a mother but also an amiga. Were like two equally aged people discussing married life, our husband and my wants of having a big family. of course her motherly advice would always be there. Im in my 2nd year of successful marriage, I ought a part of it to my mother.

Lastly, to my mom who's always been there, I love you and I'm thankful of having you as a nanay. I don't know what will I be without you.

Happy Mother's Day po.

close open...close open

Have you ever tried working so so late and the next morning during work, suddenly you feel sleepy or in a meeting, your boss is discussing something while your eyes are bit by bit shutting. Well, I was like that this morning. I tried sipping brewed coffee but still my self wont cooperate with the idea of staying awake. An officemate gave an energy drink but it didn't help me...I was still sleepy, man...

I was sluggish. I can't work. My goodness...If not of that very rushed work, I wont be in this sleepy situation. Good thing, my friend L called me and somehow diverts my attention in our conversation.

Lesson learned here...Eight hours of sleep is still needed by an adult, tee-hee.

My work and life

Thursday, I went home late from work. I and hubby just had dinner, watched TV and after a couple of minutes, I went to bed.

Friday, again, I still got to finish some work loads, do some major editing in my project. Went home late but still got the energy to have fun with hubby

Last Saturday, went to work though workdays is from Monday to Friday. Meaning, I rendered overtime. Went home late but manage to accompany hubby at Mandaluyong and delivered a PC to a client.

Sunday...Thank God, thank God. It's Sunday again. No more work, no work, no deadlines, no deadlines...hurray.

Yesterday, my, my it's a holiday but my presence is seen in a working area full of papers and pens, nah not in our house but in the office. Great!

and today, Im a bit tired because of the long working hours that I've done the past days but at least I and my team mates manage to meet the deadlines. Yippee..

Since the preliminary materials have been submitted, Its time for me and the rest of my groupmates to relax. I went home much early. Went at the grocery with hubby. He do wanted us to have coffee at Starbucks Commonwealth but we decided to scheduled it on Friday.

I know my work is demanding and have my hands full but of course I make it a point that I somehow spend quality time with hubby and little time in this little space which I haven't updated for a week now.

Cheers to all those working wives/mothers who manage to have a good working life and a better family life.
